I was introduced to Sara's music when I heard the song "The Word", and I completely loved it. I bought the CD almost immediately after hearing that one song.
"Conversations" opens the CD wonderfully, and I love it when she sings, "I don't claim to have found the truth, but I know it has found me". "The Word" follows, picking up the pace. "Painting Pictures Of Egypt" keeps up the upbeat pace. "Hello Lord" slows it down a bit, but it's appropiate for the theme of the song, which is a prayer for understanding. "Generations" is another good song, and it gives way to one of the best songs on the album, "This Journey Is My Own". "How Is It Between Us?" examines how her relationship with God is. Sara spins a story in "What Do I Know", a song about dying and heaven.
Sara puts herself in King David's shoes in the song "Cave Of Adullum", and looks at her own heart in "Know My Heart". "Going Home" is another song about heaven, and is simply beautiful. "He's Always Been Faithful" is influenced by "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and is a lovely closing for the album. "Tent In The Center Of Town" ends the CD, and it was recorded live.

I LOVE THIS CD!!! As a senior in a new high school, I struggled with getting who I am out to an entire senior class. Toward the middle of the year I found "Conversations" on another compilation cd of sorts, and fell head over heels for it. I bought the cd and started choreographing a dance to it. At the end of senior year I was able to perform that dance for our (public) school performance, where I received rave reviews and a standing ovation. I love Sara and the music that she writes for those of us who don't always have the words. Oh, and by the way, the rest of the cd is just as awesome!!!

A very charming album: catchy melodies, lovely voice and thought-provoking lyrics. My favourite of Sara's CDs. Check out the first 2 tracks and you'll probably be hooked.

Sarah Groves does a great job of transferring struggles we find during our spiritual journey into music. So many of the songs resonated within me! She has a beautiful voice that is also fun to sing along with (car or shower!)--she sounds a lot like norah jones, but has been around for longer!
I'd definitely recommend this cd, both because of how great the music is and also how powerful the lyrics are!

This has to be one of the best albums ever released. It has everything from great lyrics, great vocals, and great music. Sara groves has such a wonderful voice that is powerful when singing this type of contemporay music. It has a nice blend of uptempo and slower songs that all seem to flow together. The songs are very inspirational and Christ cenetered. A must have album for everyone. Lots of Standout songs such as "Conversations" "WOrd" "Painting Pictures of Egypt" "How It IS Between Us" and "Know MY Heart"

Sara Groves did it again with this cd. She is an amazing and moving singer/songwriter who deeply loves the Lord, and that is so evident. While some of these weren't my favorites of hers, I still love every one, but especially "Past the Wishing."

Compelling July 17th, 2004

The whole theme of this album was wrapped around the song "Compelled" and I was inspired by its deep impressions of hope that seem to express itself throughout the album.
I connected with Sara's struggles in the song "The Boxer", and was drawn to the longing I also felt in the song "Jeremiah".
I was completely satisfied with this CD, and I look forward to hearing more from Sara Groves in the future.

This is among the greatest Christian albums of all times on my list. I've always liked Sara's work, but she completely outdid herself with this album. Every song on this album is brilliant. You need this CD!
